We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our team for a temporary, full-time appointment, working in our hospitality training facility and on-site cafe - The Food Project.

- hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
- comply with the Accreditation to Work, Teach, and Lead Policy upon appointment
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Certificate II in Hospitality - SIT20316 (Food & Beverage) or Certificate II in Hospitality - SIT20421 (Cookery)

Safe Food Handling Certificate (Basic)
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following criteria:

Be willing to contribute positively as part of a professional learning community.

Provide evidence of qualifications and experience in a commercial kitchen.
-
Support students in practical classrooms, including those with additional needs.
-
Plan and manage school catering and functions.
-
Manage food and resource ordering for learning and teaching.
-
Maintain cleaning and hygiene schedules.
-
Demonstrate a commitment to a collaborative team of professional teachers, dedicated to high-quality teaching and learning in partnership with the students' parent and carers' community.

Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
