Applications are invited from young adults in Year 12 at the College, who have a strong interest in supporting sport, recreation and fitness at St John Paul College. This is a 12-month position for the 2026 academic year to support these pursuits of students and staff who organise them in the College.
PDHPE & Sport Trainee
Available to Year 12 students of the College only
The Trainee will work closely with the Leader of PDHPE, Leader of Sport and Leader of Internal Sport in helping to provide an array of opportunities for students at the school. The successful applicant will be expected to attend sporting trips and complete training courses required to successfully fulfil the role of PDHPE and Sport Trainee
Applicants must:
- have a current NSW Working with Children Check
- compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
Applicants will be required to:
- be an active and visible member of the Catholic Church community
- committ to the Catholic Community’s ethics, values and standards
- be self-motivated, organised, creative, trustworthy, committed and able to motivate youth
- have excellent communication skills, and personal initiative
- be able to recognise and maintain confidentiality
- be enrolled in a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation
You are required to upload a personal resume, and include in your application details of any sporting and fitness interest, and experience in coaching and organising sport, along with three referees.
