Executive Assistant, Richmond

Based at our Lismore, NSW office

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of the position is to provide timely, accurate and professional support and assistance to the Regional Assistant Director, Richmond and core regional office team. The Executive Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative duties including office management, executive assistance, maintaining a regional events calendar, report writing, presentations and communication skills, as well as interfacing effectively with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

This role supports the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life.

Work Requirements:

  • A current/valid Australian Driver’s Licence and eligibility to work within Australia for the period of the appointment
  • Compliance with Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead as prescribed by the Bishops of NSW, or working towards accreditation at the appropriate level upon commencement.
  • A cleared National Police Check, or ability to obtain if the successful candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration, or similar preferred.

Work Experience: 

  • At least 5 years in a busy office environment, preferably within an assisting role to a senior executive together with experience in inter-department coordination.

Key Capabilities:

  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to prepare a wide range of communications including correspondence, presentations, memorandums, reports, briefing papers etc.
  • Effective verbal communication, including consultation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of staff (in particular senior leaders).
  • Outstanding organisational skills, work planning and time management, with the ability to work to defined deadlines, to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and focused. Experience in events management is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to identify and resolve issues using initiative.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking research, analysing information and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated ability in MS Office/Google suite.
  • Experience working with information that is confidential and sensitive.
