Overview of school:
St Brigid's Catholic Primary School Kyogle caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our mission is to enhance the potential of each student. The school's motto 'Strong in Faith' relates to the fact that the parish remains at the heart of our mission and has done so for nearly a century. At St Brigid's we work towards enhancing the spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional development of every child. We strive to form collaborative partnerships across our community and provide an education that is safe, challenging and engaging. At our core is Jesus Christ and the values of His teaching, which underpin the pastoral and educational nature of our school.
Our school vision is summed up in the slogan 'Believe, Achieve, Succeed'. All students have individualised learning goals in both Literacy and Numeracy and students are fully engaged in the expectations of meeting and re-evaluating these goals regularly. Staff are committed to building a professional learning community which focuses on collection, collaboration and analysis of data to constantly inform teaching and learning direction.
St Brigid's provides the latest technology with 1:1 IPADS and chromebooks in the primary years to allow students to engage in inquiry learning for the future. Some annual highlights of the representation within the broader community are events like Wakakirri, NAIDOC Week, Caritas Appeal, Kyogle show along with sport representation from St Brigid’s at zone and diocesan levels. The Parish School Forum remains central to advising the school and meets twice each term. We have a dedicated and collegial staff constantly striving for quality teaching and learning for all students. Further information about the school can be obtained from the school’s website.
