St John's College, Woodlawn is a co-educational Catholic Secondary College situated in a charming rural setting 5km from Lismore and just over half an hour from Ballina and Byron Bay. The current enrolments are around 770.

TRAINEE - SPORT AND PDHPE DEPARTMENTS

Part time temporary position - 35 hours per week for the 2026 school year, commencing Tuesday, 27 January

Applicants must:

  • hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • have the ability to handle tasks with a high degree of confidentiality
  • comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Selection Criteria -

  • provide evidence of well-developed communication, administrative and office skills with an ability to deal tactfully, confidently and effectively with people at all levels
  • capacity to show initiative and demonstrate effective time management, organisational and planning skills with an ability to meet pressing deadlines and competing priorities
  • ability to be flexible with hours when required, eg. when participating in sporting trips you will be required to work outside the normal hours at times.
  • current First Aide Certificate desirable
  • capacity to take direction and willingness to work as part of a team
  • have the ability to identify the Mission of a Catholic School and demonstrate Christian values in dealings with staff
