St. James Primary Banora Point is seeking an innovative, energetic educator with a commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education and student-centred learning. St. James’ School has 400 students who are educated by dedicated teachers and caring parents in a co-responsible manner. Banora Point is situated in Tweed Heads.

Co1 - Leader of Learning School Evangelisation + teaching load
The person appointed will have a temporary full time teaching position
with a temporary Coordinator allowance for the 2026 school year

Applicants must:
- have a current NSW Working with Children Check
- full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
- compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
Teacher Accreditation:
Teachers who are appointed to a leadership position, whether new to the position or applying to be re-appointed, should have begun, or will begin to make a commitment to the requirements of the diocese Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead document, Category C (Category E for positions of Catechesis and School Evangelisation), during this next triennium cycle.
Co1 positions will not be dependent on classification.
Each teacher in a leadership position (Co1) will participate in an ongoing performance review in accordance with the Diocesan Policy & Procedures for Performance Review of Coordinators.

- Ability to manage effectively
