Library Assistant

Part-time temporary 18 hours per week Terms 1 & 2 2026

Applicants must:

• hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check

• comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment.

The successful applicant will be expected to: 

• Demonstrate ability in setting up thematic displays

• Demonstrate proficient use of Oliver and Overdrive management systems.

• Demonstrate ability to purchase, circulation and maintenance of resources and learning materials within the library.

• Provide appropriate curriculum resources to teachers in consultation with Assistant Principal Learning and Teaching & Leader of Learning

• Coordinate the library timetable for class visits and facilitate visits by students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups.

• Organise and Promote Book Week and Book Fair Celebrations.

• Manage the circulation of Book Club.

• Organise and manage Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC).
