Applications are invited from young adults who have completed Year 12 in recent years and who have a strong interest in supporting staff and students at St Joseph’s College, namely in the IT area. This is a 12-month position to support the pursuits of students and staff who work in the College and help to fulfil and maintain their digital needs.
Trainee - Information Technology Support
The ITST will work closely with the Leader of Learning Technology and Technical Officer in helping to provide learning opportunities for students at the school working in IT. The successful applicant will be expected to provide support to staff and students as required to successfully fulfil the role of ITST.
Applicants will be required to:
- be an active and visible member of the Catholic Church community
- committ to the Catholic Community’s ethics, values and standards
- be self-motivated, organised, creative, trustworthy, committed and able to motivate youth
- have excellent communication skills, and personal initiative
- be able to recognise and maintain confidentiality
The majority of work will centre around the general areas of IT, but if required, will fulfil additional tasks as requested. Experience using and maintaining computers and associated software and hardware would be a distinct advantage, however, those without experience are welcome to apply as the successful applicant will be required to complete all relevant safety, orientation and training (Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT30118)) courses.
